Emission free zones are getting closer

In late August 2025, the Municipality of Copenhagen decided to introduce a emission free zone in Inner Vesterbro. A similar plan is ready in Aarhus, and it is a clear signal that Danish cities are now genuinely taking steps towards greener mobility.

This can pose challenges for many traveling salespeople, who with their daily routines in the inner city of larger Danish cities need to find alternative solutions, if they quickly need to move on, and they have not embraced the green transition.

Look positively at the development

Mads Rørvig, CEO of Mobility Denmark, says:

"It is our assessment that emission free zones will have an immediate effect on car sales because drivers want a car that can go where they wish, even in two or three years."

At NF Fleet, we agree with this view and look positively at the development, as we believe that electric vehicles will play a crucial role in the transition to more sustainable transport, and that emission free zones will help accelerate that development.

Ready to help take the next step

Therefore, we at NF Fleet are ready to assist both businesses and individuals in taking the next step, and we look forward to seeing electric vehicles become even more prevalent on the streets.

"Emission free zones are not just a regulation; they are a beacon for the future of mobility. The green transition to electric vehicles will open the door to larger Danish and foreign cities. It is a journey that we at NF Fleet are proud to be an active part of," says Mads Vandborg, General Manager at NF Fleet.
