Volkswagen ID.7 wins Company Car of the Year 2025 again
For the second year in a row, the Volkswagen ID.7 has secured the title of Company Car of the Year, chosen by a jury consisting of company car drivers from Business Danmark and motoring journalists from Jyllands-Posten.
New station wagon model made an impression
Last year, it was the five-door hatchback that claimed victory, but this year the model lineup was expanded with the new station wagon.
The test car of the year was the VW ID.7 Tourer Style S, representing the new station wagon variant at the Style equipment level. The model is equipped with the large 86 kWh battery, as indicated by the "S" in its name.
Despite a strong field* consisting of cars like the Audi Q4 e-tron, Ford Explorer, and Skoda Enyaq, the ID.7 managed to stand out and take the win.
What makes the Volkswagen ID.7 a winner?
The judges’ enthusiasm for the station wagon was clear. Karina Mæhle Kjær, Customer Engagement Specialist at Bayer A/S, highlights the car’s qualities in her statement to Jyllands-Posten:
"The VW ID.7 is an exciting winning car – it offers a spacious and comfortable electric car with an impressive range, making it ideal for long trips without frequent charging stops," she says.
The ID.7 was also praised for its versatility, making it more than just a company car – it is also ideal as a spacious family vehicle.
Thomas Høng, consultant at Ideal Standard, emphasizes the car’s many strengths:
"The ID.7 was my absolute favorite. For me, it embodies what one defines as a company car. Great to drive, comfortable, well-equipped, and with plenty of space for the family and the tools I carry daily in my role as a consultant."
"It is the most comfortable car in the test"
The ID.7 was particularly praised for its excellent comfort, high quality, and spacious trunk of 605 liters, which can be expanded to 1,714 liters and is easy to access.
Lars Bundgaard, chairman of the Traffic and Road Policy Committee at Business Danmark, describes the ID.7 as a complete company car:
"In reality, it’s a very complete company car, which also offers plenty of space for the family. It has excellent driving characteristics, supportive ergonomic seats, plenty of room, and, not least, a strong equipment package."
He concludes by emphasizing: "It is the most comfortable car in the test."
